National Slate Museum, Wales

04 April 2012

The weather was getting colder. but we were not going to let that stop us. Slate roofs and floors are everywhere in the UK. The National Slate Museum in Wales gives a detailed look at the stale industry.
19th-century workshops of the Dinorwic slate quarry can be toured. You can see how slate is made into tiles. Andrew was lucky enough to try his hand at this.

As we were leaving we noticed a castle ruin on a hill. But we were both too cold from the wind and snow to go explore it.
