Minster Lovell Hall, England

16 July 2011

William Lovell built Minster Lovell around 1440. The Lovell family lost Minster Lovell after the Battle of Bosworth (1485) when Minster Lovell was granted to Jasper Tudor, uncle of King Henry VII. The estate changed hands several times until it was abandoned and large parts of the buildings were dismantled in 1747.

The ruin has been painted many times and is said to be haunted. We never experience any ghostly activity.
